At the beginning of the month, the building team commenced with the construction of the marathon obstacles. At the heavily subscribed kick off evening, the whole group was first taken by tractor over the country estate to get an impression of the grounds. Then, under the guidance of competition course builders Arjan Brink and Johan Jacobs, the bottlenecks were discussed and the action items were decided on. The wood from the Forestry Commission had arrived and on Friday 27 June the first 400 poles were set in the ground in cooperation with WDC partner GMB. In total 615 poles will be used for eight marathon obstacles. The grounds look absolutely super and the grass is being mowed twice a week.
