On Tuesday 10 June, the WDC 2008 committee organized the successful Sneak Preview Party. At this gathering for WDC 2008 business partners and sponsors at Heerlijkheid Mariënwaerdt Country Estate it was clear that the organizing committee were absolutely right on course. “We ‘re absolutely ready to go”, proudly announced WDC 2008 committee chairman Pieter Wiersinga to the company present. Over a hundred guests responded to the invitation for the sneak preview: they were welcomed with a demonstration by IJsbrand Chardon. The WDC Chairman thanked the sponsors from the earliest days for all the trust they had shown in the organization: “We are here today thanks to their trust in us. We see that sponsors are supporting and boadening their original agreements even more and we see that sponsors who were undecided are now coming to us and that is very, very encouraging.”
